GoodWe’s hybrid inverters ET and EH series and the AC-coupled retrofit inverters BT and BH series are the first inverters to pass compatibility tests with the BYD Battery-Box Premium HVM. This now allows GoodWe to cater for a bigger slice of the pie.

 

The brand-new coupling of GoodWe inverters and BYD batteries represents a quantum leap in the energy storage sector. Both the system efficiency and the system stability have been enhanced significantly, further maximizing self-consumption. The positive result in the compatibility test opens the doors for an even closer strategic partnership between GoodWe and BYD worldwide. The two companies’ long-term strategies have, in fact, been aligned for quite some time; both companies have been willing to share resources, a crucial factor for the positive result in the compatibility test. GoodWe is proud to be the world’s first and only inverter brand to be compatible with BYD Battery-Box Premium HVM.

With regards to the new storage coupling, the storage capacity is extended to a higher level at emergency-backup and off-grid functionality with a total battery capacity up to 22.08 kWh. Direct parallel connection of up to 3 identical Battery-Box Premium HVM allows for a maximum capacity of 66.2 kWh. A high-voltage series connection of the battery enables the system to achieve the highest efficiency. The water- and dustproof rating IP65 (inverter side) and IP55 (battery) protection class open the possibilities for outdoor use. This new combination will no doubt hit the storage market as the showcase example of superb storage technique.
